Wow! In a sad case of surprise gone wrong,26 year old South African Paralympic star Oscar Pistorius is being questioned by police for allegedly shooting dead a woman, believed to be his girlfriend, at his home in Pretoria today the 14th of Feb 2013.
Reports have it that he  shot the woman in the head and arm four times with a 9mm pistol because he may have mistaken her for a burglar.The incident happened at 3am. It was reported that his girlfriend, believed to be former FHM model Reeva Steenkamp, 30, was trying to surprise him for Valentine's Day and he thought she was an intruder.

Nigeria leap up rankings after Nations Cup win

Nigeria leapt 22 places up the FIFA rankings on Thursday following their win at the African Nations Cup, but the continent remained without a team in the top ten.

The Super Eagles, who edged Burkina Faso 1-0 in Sunday's final in South Africa to win the competition for the first time in 19 years, rose to 30th place in the table, their best position for three years.

Their opponents, who exceeded expectations by reaching the final, stayed outside the top 50 but have jumped 37 places to 55th.

Ivory Coast, beaten by Nigeria in the quarter-finals, remained Africa's highest-ranked side in 12th, followed by Ghana seven places below.

The C-1 uses electronically-controlled gyroscopes to remain upright even in the case of an accident. It can be charged up in six hours, has a top speed of 120mph, and the battery provides enough autonomy for 150 to 220 miles. It will be available in 2014 and will sell for $12,000 to $16,000 (USD).
